there will be a second concert Sunday August 28, 2011 Boatzart on the Bay - 2011 Series Concerts on the Baywood Pier. Brought to you by the Baywood Navy. This concert will feature Stephen McAndrew and the Quiet Knights.
Put in at Morro Bay Marina below the Museum. Be in the water and ready to go at 10AM. We'll paddle past Shark Inlet before landing at Baywood pier for the concert which starts at Noon. There will be many paddlers this day, but we will launch before many of them, so parking should be ok early. If you paddle with our group, remember "Boat participants are required to wear properly fitting Coast Guard Apv'd PFD's, and must state that they are able to perform unassisted self-recovery from a capsize. Sit-on-top kayaks are thus recommended. Sit-inside kayaks must have bailing equipment and fore and aft flotation chambers or secured flotation bags. Signal devices (e.g., mirror, whistle), cell phone or marine radio, and tow ropes front & rear, are recommended. New paddlers welcome. We are mature people paddling mostly sit-on-tops and some closed-deck (sit-inside) kayaks, and recently, stand-up paddle boards, with an occasional canoe when conditions permit. We like to paddle together on the water observing wildlife with respect. Liability Disclaimer: Organizers assume no liability or responsibility for you. We are not professional guides or instructors. You alone assume full responsibility and liability for your actions if you participate. Study our orientation page at kayak.morro-bay.com - As a courtesy to others, please vote the attendance poll at groups.yahoo.com/group/kayakmorrobay/polls if you intend to participate. - Dress for immersion; bring water and snack; shoes or booties for walking in mud...
