Domestic Duck Ancona Breed

This domestic duck, I think of the Ancona variety, was paddling around with two other escaped/abandoned domestic ducks in Carroll Creek, in Frederick, Maryland. Unfortunately, this female has something wrong with her left foot. It appeared mangled, and she was padding with only her right foot. Domestic ducks can't fly, and I doubt she can walk on that foot, so she's trapped in the creek, in an area between two dam-like features. I called Frederick County animal control and they're going to investigate and check on her. They mentioned that they're also keeping an eye on two ducklings trapped in a concrete-lined section of the creek where they can't get out. Poor ducks!
