Thanks to all who took such good care of Bob. He is happy in his new home with his new sister, Abby. He is such a lovable guy and so much fun. We are very glad to have given him a happy home. Here he is in his favorite window.

Happy Tails: Kelby

I wanted to send a note letting you know Blacky, now Kelby (German meaning dark hair), has adapted very well to our home. The dog and him are battling it out, but I think they will be fine eventually! Our chocolate lab is 6, and he is very friendly and just wants to play! I can't believe that someone would abandon Kelby, he is the most loveable cat I have ever had! When I pick him up he just melts into me and purrs very loudly! He loves his whole stomach rubbed and rolls around so you get all the spots! He is very at home now and is sleeping with us at times throughout the night.
I just love him so much. I have had other cats and loved them all but they were not as lovable as Kelby! I am so happy he is the way he is and that I have him! I didn't know if you ever wonder about the animals that get adopted, I know if I worked there I would! So all is fine in the Gabel household with our new loving addition! :) I am sending some pictures of a very happy cat!

Non-Smoking Kitty
Carol was found at a cigarette store about 8 years ago before coming to RMFR.
She is very sweet and if she is in the mood, she will sit in your lap. She also likes pets and chin scratches.

This is another shot of the wonderful Wiley. He is such a huggable, handsome guy. He is about 8 years old, neutered, vet work current. Gets along with all, walks well on a leash and travels great.
Wiley loves to explore and WILL wander away if left unattended.
Wiley was adopted out recently to a family who said they would move Heaven and Earth for him, but somehow Wiley ended up in a high kill shelter in Northern Virginia just a few weeks after the adoption! The adoptive family was told he was there, but never went to pick him up. We got him back just hours before the NOVA shelter was going to euthanize him!
Wiley probably wandered away from the family and got lost. Whey they never went to pick him up is a mystery.
Note: All pets adopted out from the Orange County Animal Shelter MUST be returned to our shelter if the adoption does not work out.

Pet of the Week: Stormy, 10243979

Stormy, a 1.5-year-old black and white female cat, needs a change of luck! She is at our adoption location at The Mall at Greece Ridge! This sweet girl was brought to Lollypop in April because her owner was having problems, then she was adopted only to have her new owner pass away in July.
Stormy is confused and lonely, and eagerly awaits her new forever home. She gets along well with other cats and children of all ages. She’s a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know you she transforms into a lap cat. Stormy will purr softly and roll onto her back to show off her white stomach. Feather toys are one of her favorites!
This is a beautiful sweet cat, well worth the initial effort to get to know her. Come out and adopt Stormy at The Mall at Greece Ridge, store number 356 near mall entrance number 6!

Lulu is a 4-year-old female cat who was returned to Lollypop Farm after adoption, through no fault of her own.
Lulu has lived with other cats and with children before and she got along well with everyone! Lulu likes being petted and getting attention. She also has a cute little meow! Lulu would love to meet you!

Dear Lollypop Farm,
I am writing to let you know how delighted we are with our new dog, Bella Bleu, a female black Lab adopted from the Perinton shelter on 4/10/10. She so well adjusted, healthy, exceedingly good natured, and has brought tremendous joy to our lives. From the moment I spotted her on your website, I was sure she was going home with us. My husband and I feel so thankful and blessed to have her in our family.
I am happy to report that Bella is also very active; every day we go for long walks in the woods where she enjoys running about, chasing birds and playing fetch. She also loves playing in mud puddles or chasing her reflection. We have a home on Cayuga Lake and Bella cannot get her fill of swimming time. She runs in and out of the lake, and took her real first swim yesterday, after she jumped off the end of our dock. She is getting lots of love, exercise, attention, treats and toys. She is a fantastic student – very smart – and is learning all her commands to sit, lie down, come and stay.
I am taking her to obedience class starting at the end of this month; even though I consider her the perfect little girl, we do have a little bit of work to do on leash walking. I am looking forward to learning more ways to interact with her.
It’s obvious she came from a very good home and was treated well as a young pup. Bella Bleu is almost 11 months old now and we are looking forward to celebrating her 1 year birthday in June. I am attaching some pictures of her so you can see what a beautiful girl she is. I was very impressed with your facility, the thoroughness of your adoption process, and the professionalism and compassion of your staff. Thank you so much for helping us find Bella Bleu -- she is a slice of heaven!

Two adorable New Zealand White rabbits which we fostered for the House Rabbit Society for a number of months. They eventually went to a rabbit sanctuary in La Jolla.
We carried a special inventory of products recommended by the House Rabbit Society, including KW Cages, CareFresh, Timothy Pellets, etc.
This was one of many adoption and education events we sponsored. This particular one was in support of the House Rabbit Society. We had a year-round adoption and education program in place which we were quite proud of.
I opened and managed this location at 12305 Poway Road, Poway, California, from 1989 to 1995. I believe it closed in 1996 after Petco acquired Pet Supply Warehouse and converted that location further east on Poway Road.
